Position Description: The Senior Manager, International Accounting is a member of the corporate accounting team and manages the activities of the company’s international entities ensuring compliance with local and US GAAP, corporate policies, and external audits. Essential Job Functions: The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, and is action and goal-oriented in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Specific duties include:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience, including 3+ years in leadership or supervisory role required
  • Prior experience working with multiple entities, global offices, and foreign currencies preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting concepts
  • Acute attention to accuracy and detail
  • Effective communication skills and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize activities while working on multiple projects and achieve target deadlines
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft office programs

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements on a monthly basis
  • Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded for international subsidiaries
  • Oversee the accounts payable process
  • Oversee the accounts receivable process
  • Oversee and review month-end journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment
  • Ensure the international entities adhere to corporate accounting policies
  • Work with third party providers to ensure timely filings with regulators
  • Coordinate with the US accounting team and other entities to ensure transactions are recorded accurately
  • Perform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate
