About The Position

The Senior Manager, IT Financial Management is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for the financial integrity, transparency, and modernization of IT finance operations. This role combines strong controllership discipline with forward-looking planning and automation to ensure accurate reporting, disciplined investment management, and scalable financial processes. The ideal candidate will strengthen controls while building modern, data-driven financial capabilities that enable effective decision-making across the IT organization.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Finance, Accounting, or IT Financial Management
  • Strong foundation in accounting principles (GAAP knowledge required; CPA preferred)
  • Experience supporting a technology or IT organization
  • Experience managing financial close processes and strengthening controls
  • Proven ability to automate and improve financial reporting processes
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Strong attention to detail and process discipline

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems is a strong plus; dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of IT finance analysts responsible for spend oversight and modernization of IT financial processes and workflows.
  • Accountable for IT month-end close activities, including accruals, expense classification, and reconciliations
  • Ensure strong financial controls, SOX compliance, and audit readiness for IT spend
  • Maintain accurate expense classification treatment and software capitalization compliance
  • Lead operational IT financial reporting and variance analysis (in partnership with Finance)
  • Automate and streamline IT financial reporting and dashboarding
  • Establish clear cost transparency across Run and project/initiative spend
  • Improve financial data integrity and reduce manual processes
  • Strengthen vendor and cloud spend governance in partnership with Procurement
  • Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities
