About the position

Crunch Fitness is seeking a skilled professional to take complete ownership of our Customer Data Platform (CDP). This role involves configuring, maintaining, and optimizing CDP integrations with various systems including CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms. The successful candidate will oversee system updates, user access, and troubleshooting to ensure stability and scalability. Additionally, they will manage data pipelines to ensure accurate data ingestion and transformation across multiple systems. Regular monitoring and auditing of system performance will be required, along with collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues. The position also entails managing data ingestion processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data governance policies. The candidate will partner with marketing teams to translate business needs into actionable CDP-driven campaigns, focusing on audience segmentation strategies for improved customer experiences. Furthermore, the role includes creating dashboards and reports that provide insights into customer behavior and campaign effectiveness, as well as overseeing the backend architecture of business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau. As a subject matter expert for the CDP, the candidate will guide various teams on best practices and recommend innovative strategies for data management and martech adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Complete ownership of Crunch's Customer data platform (CDP), including configuring, maintaining, and optimizing CDP integrations.
  • Oversee system updates, user access, role permissions, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage data pipelines to ensure accurate ingestion, transformation, and activation across systems.
  • Regularly monitor and audit system performance, troubleshoot issues, and liaise with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage and monitor data ingestion, ensuring accuracy, deduplication, and normalization.
  • Define and maintain data governance policies, ensuring compliance with security and privacy requirements.
  • Partner with Marketing teams to manage audience segmentation strategies.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data pipelines for actionable insights.
  • Oversee identity resolution and data unification for customer profiles.
  • Coordinate data tagging and tracking across the ecosystem.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the CDP, guiding teams on best practices.
  • Recommend and implement best practices for data strategy and martech adoption.

Requirements

  • Strong (5+ years) or equivalent experience with Twilio Segment, marketing technologies, and ad platforms.
  • Strong ability to translate requirements into specifications and configuration of the CDP platform.
  • Strong (5+ years) understanding of CDP strategy, design, architecture, and implementation.
  • Strong ability to communicate use case value and coordinate business and technical requirements.
  • Experience with data protection, privacy regulations, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with event tracking, web/application development, data integration, and analytics patterns.
  • Experience managing UTM strategies, tagging, or reporting across digital channels is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
