About The Position

Senior Manager of Training Salary Range: $130,000-$146,00 Knowledge and Experience Demonstrated experience working in a railroad operation with success in implementing training plans, curriculums, and ability to lead a group to execute yearly training plans. Full knowledge and understanding of all FRA Regulations as it pertains to railroad operations and ability to assess competencies to ensure compliance with all aspects of training for train crews. Current certificated as a Locomotive Class 1 Engineer or Conductor and proven knowledge of all training and qualifications needed for train crews to ensure compliance is to ensure all training is compliant and full understanding of the qualifications need for all levels of train crews. Proven working knowledge of train simulation coupled with other training practices and aids specific to railroad operations. Skills Comprehensive understanding of complex railroad operations, and the key disciplines required to deliver operational excellence, with proven ability to successfully implement change in a heavily unionized environment.   Leadership qualities of the highest standards, able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and create/lead a high performing senior management team, influencing organizational culture and raising capability through a systemic approach.  Proven ability to adapt to innovative technologies and tools that create efficiency and accelerate change.  Demonstrated capability to represent Keolis as a credible ambassador to regulatory bodies, the client, and senior stakeholders.  Ability to influence wider organizational culture through systemic, sustainable approaches.   Key personal traits: forward thinking, proactive, resilient, sound judgement, innovative where required, driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence.  Excellent written, verbal, communication, interpersonal, and presentational skills  About Keolis: At Keolis Commuter Services (KCS) , we give every team member—and their ideas—a seat for the journey. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop and successfully implement a 1 to 2-year Train and Engines staff training plan and related program and meet agreed deliverables.
  • Set standards for best practice train operations that are to be delivered across the network.
  • Ensure technical and regulatory training needs and requirements are met and continually improve.
  • Ensure conductor and engineer training, qualifications and recertification programs are consistent with FRA and client/MBTA contractual obligations.
  • Contributor/ Author for CFR Part 240 and 242 submission, and issuance of certificates to certified Train and Engine Service employees.
  • Coordinate new hire conductor in training, promotion to conductor training, Student engineer program and Conductor/ Engineer recertification.
  • Ensure effective working relationships with labor organizations within set context.
  • Ensuring that training materials including the training simulator are continually updated based on current requirements and operational risk profiles.
