We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Product Analytics to serve as a key strategic partner to our Product Leadership team. You will be the chief storyteller with data, responsible for cutting through the noise to answer our most critical question: "What should we build next and why?" Your primary mission is to define what product metrics truly drive our business and to build an analytics function that empowers our Product Managers with the clarity, insights, and tools they need to make faster, smarter decisions. Your focus will be on the core product experience—understanding user behavior, feature adoption, engagement, and retention—to guide our product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Seasoned Leader: 6+ years in product analytics or data science, with at least 3+ years of experience leading and scaling high-performing analytics teams, preferably in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
  • Executive-Level Communicator: Proven mastery of data storytelling. You can confidently and persuasively present complex findings and strategic recommendations to our C-suite, product leadership, and Board.
  • Strategic Metric Definer: You have deep experience not just tracking metrics, but defining them. You know how to build a metric framework from the ground up that focuses the entire company on what matters most for the core product.
  • PM Enabler: A strong passion for product management and a proven track record of building analytics functions that directly enable PMs to do their best work.
  • AI-Native & Forward-Thinking: You are at the forefront of the product analytics field. You have a deep understanding of how to leverage AI/ML for predictive modeling and automated insights, and you have experience defining metrics and measuring the impact of customer-facing AI features.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: You are a builder and an owner. You thrive in ambiguity, are relentlessly resourceful, and have a "get it done" attitude. You see problems as opportunities.
  • Growth Mindset: You are intensely curious, learn from failure, and are always looking for a better way to do things. You challenge the status quo and inspire your team to do the same.
  • Technical Chops: Expert-level SQL skills and deep experience with modern BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) and product analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel).

  • Direct experience in the productivity, collaboration, or project management software space.
  • Experience building data models or working closely with data engineering on data warehousing.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Work side-by-side with product leaders to define the North Star metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the entire product organization.
  • Data Storytelling: Translate complex data and user behavior into clear, compelling narratives and actionable recommendations. You will be the go-to person for explaining the "so what" behind the data to our product and executive teams.
  • Define "What Matters": Lead the charge in identifying and evangelizing the core product metrics (e.g., feature adoption, user activation, engagement loops, and retention drivers) that align with our company's strategic goals.
  • Empower Product Teams: Build and scale the product analytics function (people, processes, and tools) to provide PMs with self-serve dashboards, A/B testing frameworks, and deep-dive insights. Your team's success is measured by the success of our PMs.
  • Lead & Mentor: Recruit, manage, and develop a world-class team of product analysts, fostering a culture of high performance, intellectual curiosity, and business impact.
  • Champion Experimentation: Promote a growth mindset by embedding a culture of hypothesis-driven development, A/B testing, and data-informed decision-making across the product organization.
  • Spearhead the Analytics Strategy for ClickUp AI: Be the product analytics owner for our most strategic features, including ClickUp AI and ClickUp Brain. You will define what success looks like, measure user engagement, and guide the product team on the impact of AI on core retention and productivity.
