Senior Manager, Risk Management Assessments | Retail Bank Are you passionate about Risk Management and Risk Assessments that drive meaningful business impact? If so, we invite you to consider an exciting opportunity as a Senior Manager of Risk Assessments within our Retail Risk Office, supporting Retail Bank and Premium Products + Shopping divisions. In this highly visible and strategic role, you will be at the forefront of our risk assessment program, helping to shape the way we identify and measure risks. You’ll be empowered to lead strategic change efforts within our risk assessments that span functions, stakeholders and levels of the organization, playing a critical role in how we manage risk. An ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who excels at building strong connections, aligning stakeholders, and delivering successful outcomes. Your leadership and expertise will shape and implement impactful risk assessment strategies that drive transformation across the organization.

Requirements

  • Strong risk management analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with leading risk assessments, such as Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA)
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills, which are critical for building trust and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Be intellectually curious to ask why, explore underlying issues, and create unique solutions to challenges. Seek to understand why problems exist and how to solve them in a fast paced, live operation environment
  • Collaborative leader who thrives on working with diverse groups to achieve shared goals
  • Proven success leading changes/enhancements to risk programs that impact an organization
  • At least 5 years of Risk Management or Project Management experience
  • At least 4 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients
  • At least 3 Years of People Management experience

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of Project or Risk Management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Training or Change Management Leadership Role
  • 5+ years of People Management experience
  • Certified in Risk Management Frameworks, LEAN Management or Six Sigma

Responsibilities

  • Lead and empower a high performing team of risk assessment professionals
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness as your teams will be responsible for running a well-managed horizontal operation that is perpetually audit ready
  • Partner and collaborate across teams, including second line, to understand impactful changes to the risk programs
  • Develop and implement robust risk assessment strategies that drive efficiencies, reduce resistance, mitigate risk and ensure long-term success
  • Coach and guide cross-functional project teams and leaders through the change journey using a thoughtful, people-first approach
  • Design and deliver compelling communications and strategies that inform and prepare associates for risk assessment based change
