The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The Consumer Banking Organization’s mission is to become essential to American Express Members’ lives by providing Everyday Banking products with unparalleled value, service, and convenience. Our Member deposits represent the largest source of funding for American Express, and a key strategic priority is to continue to grow our portfolio of cost efficient, resilient deposits. The Senior Manager, Saving Product Management will be a critical part of the team responsible for product strategy and identifying opportunities to drive efficiency and growth for our High Yield Savings and CD products. This role will focus on delivering seamless and integrated digital experiences for our customers, as well as playing a key role in identifying and prioritizing items for the Savings product roadmap. The successful candidate will be instrumental in spearheading the implementation of key features to deepen engagement and unlock our growth potential. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with key partners across the Blue Box including Analytics, Product Development, CFR, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Servicing, Control Management, and Pricing.

  • Lead feature launches independently from end-to-end, building consensus while also identifying risks and communicating with leadership to remove roadblocks.
  • Execute on opportunities to collaborate across Banking, Marketing and Card Product teams to leverage cross-product integration points.
  • Understand key P&L drivers to develop portfolio strategy and optimize performance.
  • Develop requirements for and work closely with Product Development, Fraud Risk, Servicing and other teams on design and delivery of select product features.
  • Contribute to and glean insights from customer research agenda. Monitor industry trends and updates to competitor value propositions and product offerings.
  • Maintain product terms and disclosures, own key product procedures and controls.
  • Strong financial acumen and general management mindset to understand drivers of product P&L and key product metrics.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with the ability to work with colleagues across different functions and at all levels.
  • Proven project management skills with ability to prioritize and lead multiple initiatives.
  • Resourceful, strategic thinker with analytical and creative problem solving mindset.
  • Action-orientation with track record of collaborating to drive results.
  • Intellectual curiosity to go deep to truly understand customer needs and competitive trends, think creatively, challenge the status quo and drive innovation.
  • Positive 'roll-up your sleeves' attitude and 'start-up' mentality with the flexibility to adapt as organization grows and evolves.
