Senior Manager, Senior Counsel - Card Data Models Decisioning Credit (Hybrid) Joining Capital One’s Card Legal Team means more than just legal review; it places you at the heart of our innovation journey. We are seeking an attorney to support the AI, data, and model development teams. In this role, you will practice law in novel territory, advising on capabilities that may not yet exist and helping to solve problems in a complex, fast-evolving legal landscape. You will serve as a strategic partner to data scientists, model developers, and other innovative thinkers, to help us work backward from a vision to transform how we serve hundreds of millions of customers. This position will have responsibility for: Strategic Counseling: Act as a thought partner to business clients, providing proactive, business-minded legal advice. Risk Management: Identify and assess legal risks associated with AI, alternative data sources, and model development, ensuring we balance innovation with compliance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with the Business Risk Office, Compliance, and other Legal stakeholders to develop creative solutions and resolve issues. Navigating Complexity: Master the full landscape of relevant laws and apply them to novel problem solving for new technology, models, and data.
