American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payments provider for businesses and corporations of all sizes, with small business being the largest customer segment. The Global Commercial Services Marketing team (GCSM) is responsible for making business membership essential by creating and delivering world class marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged card members across the customer lifecycle. GCSM markets a breadth of products across charge, lending, co-brand, and corporate cards. It also markets small business banking and B2B solutions. The Senior Manager, Third-Party Management will serve as the operational leader responsible for designing, building, and institutionalizing a centralized third-party governance framework for Global Commercial Services Marketing. Reporting to the Director of Risk Performance and Third-Party Management, this role will lead the transformation and stabilization of Marketing’s third-party oversight model across 150+ engagements. The Senior Manager will establish visibility, ownership clarity, risk segmentation, performance transparency, and disciplined governance routines that align to enterprise risk requirements and regulatory expectations. This is a build-and-operationalize role. The successful candidate will translate strategic direction into structured execution, embedding sustainable governance mechanisms that strengthen review readiness, reduce fragmentation, and elevate first line risk ownership. The role includes one direct report and will operate within a highly matrixed environment.
