About the position

Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Senior Marketing Manager is accountable for sharing the story of Fairmont New Orleans by leveraging all digital platforms available, through digital invitations, inspiration and storytelling. This role supports the Director of Sales & Marketing in executing strategies in digital marketing, social media, content development, and online reputation management, and measures success through outcomes supported by analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Be a part of a pre-opening team
  • Create curated content with direction from the Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure it amplifies key messages and tells a story consistent with our hotel and Fairmont brand identity.
  • Manage and monitor the hotel's presence on Social Media networks (primarily Instagram, Facebook and Twitter).
  • Responsible for guest and community engagement on relevant social media channels.
  • Utilize available programs to integrate proper User Generated Content.
  • Manage online and social reputation for the hotel.
  • Manage content and implementation for all (integrated) social media initiatives and web content with PR Agency/Contractor and DOSM.
  • Contribute regularly to Corporate social media initiatives.
  • Implement local social media partnerships for cross-promotional opportunities.
  • Update and maintain property website, app and external booking engines within the corporate standards.
  • Maintain current image library and video footage to maximize media coverage.
  • Create and coordinate monthly (and as needed) email blasts to local email lists through our Fairmont programs.
  • Assist with video and photo shoots at the hotel.
  • Create new, on-brand photography for social media posts as needed.
  • Develop briefs for digital campaigns, oversee paid media content strategy, manage creative trafficking, analyzing results, and reporting on key learnings.
  • Partner with Director of Revenue Management to monitor Fairmont.com performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Work with corporate PR to develop and execute brand initiatives.
  • Write and disseminate press kits, releases, editors' advisories, calendar listings.
  • Conduct media and influencer property tours and develop itineraries as needed.
  • Direct day-to-day website management, recommendations for improvement for responsive design, implementation of enhancements, and achieving website revenue goals.
  • Work closely with appropriate teams to develop new guest offers.
  • Identify and implement timely actions that improve website conversions and average booking values.
  • Provide reports on the improvement plan, execution, and results.
  • Manage vendor relationships with applicable technology and marketing partners.
  • Execute corporate e-commerce campaigns to support the hotel strategic marketing plans.
  • Optimize SEO/SEM for the property vanity sites.
  • Serve as a key contact in the hotel for the media, industry partners and the community.
  • Champion philanthropic partnerships and promote environmental and social initiatives within the community.
  • Attend hotel promotional events as needed including weekends and evenings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing, conversion and customer acquisition.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Requires a working technical knowledge of digital marketing platforms.
  • Excellent computer skills.
