Position Overview As a Senior Marketing Specialist, you’ll support the energy marketing account team in planning, developing, and implementing marketing and advertising initiatives for a major Southern utility client. You’ll contribute across the full marketing mix—advertising, research, social media, events, outreach, and partnerships—while working with top-tier professionals that make up the more than 240 people creative and communications team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about sustainability, marketing, and meaningful client work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field (or equivalent experience one year of related experience may substitute for one year of education)
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, social marketing, or related field

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Shopify, and project management tools
  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar reporting tools
  • Familiarity with email platforms (MailChimp, Constant Contact), survey tools (SurveyMonkey), and ecommerce systems (Shopify)
  • Experience assisting with marketing communications plans, including advertising, collateral development, and digital/social media projects
  • Interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental stewardship
  • Creative problem solver with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience working with remote teams

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the marketing and advertising efforts for residential and commercial energy efficiency programs.
  • Provide recommendations for marketing and communication plans and outreach strategies.
  • Work directly with clients to develop and implement campaigns that educate customers and drive participation.
  • Support contractor outreach and education through marketing and communication efforts.
  • Assist with development of program forms, materials, and customer-facing assets.
  • Coordinate with third party vendors and utility partners to execute online and offline offerings.
  • Collaborate with the creative services team to develop marketing materials (ads, POP, websites, direct mail, brochures, forms, email campaigns, social media, video, events, etc.).
  • Partner with media teams to plan and deploy integrated campaigns across print, digital, and social channels.
  • Manage the review and approval process for marketing materials.
  • Develop engaging social media posts and newsletter articles.
  • Support program delivery and outreach teams, including event coordination.
  • Prepare monthly campaign performance reports.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations and communication materials.
  • Manage print production and ensure collateral inventory is maintained.
  • Track deliverables and deadlines using Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Project, and other tools.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate creative asset production.
  • Support development of briefings, presentations, and communication tools.
