As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will participate in the development, design, test, and manufacturing of Honeybee Robotics’ Motion Control products. Working with other engineering disciplines within the team, you will assist in the architecture development of these systems, deriving and developing requirements, assisting with proposal efforts, analyzing and simulating system performance, and finally verifying that performance on flight articles. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited technical college or university in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 8+ years of relevant work experience designing electronics for regulated industries
  • In-depth understanding of motors, gearing, feedback & commutation sensors, and motion control methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience delivering functional hardware on schedule
  • Experience with: o Design analysis and simulation (Matlab Simulink) o Requirements verification tools (JAMA)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering
  • Experience designing motion control and electromechanical systems for space environments
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams in product development efforts

Responsibilities

  • Architect closed-loop control systems incorporating motors, sensors, structures and drive electronics
  • Synthesize and define interfaces between multiple engineering disciplines
  • Present technical content to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Provide guidance and support on test requirements and associated verification methods
