Requirements

  • Clearance: TS/SCI (active)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in MISO/PSYOP planning or equivalent
  • Expertise: MDMP and JOPES processes; trans-regional OIE planning; effects-based planning and assessment
  • Domain Experience: COCOM and TSOC experience required
  • Skills: Strategic communications, targeting, interagency coordination, briefing senior leaders, writing OPLAN/OPORD annexes

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in theater-level MISO campaign planning and execution
  • Familiarity with coalition/partner engagement, influence design, and multi-domain integration
  • Experience with web-based and digital MISO operations
  • Instruction/training experience and doctrinal writing
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Professional Military Education: JPME preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of MISO/PSYOP strategic and operational plans across regions.
  • Integrate MISO planning with MDMP and JOPES processes; produce CONOPS, OPLAN inputs, and annexes.
  • Conduct trans-regional OIE planning and synchronization with interagency and coalition partners.
  • Provide senior advice to commanders and staff on MISO/strategic messaging, targeting, and effects.
  • Coordinate with intelligence, IO, public affairs, and cyberspace teams to align activities and mitigate risk.
  • Mentor and train planners; develop doctrine, TTPs, and planning products.
  • Support deployment and operational planning cycles, rehearsals, and campaign assessments.
  • Experience with USSOCOM J39 or equivalent MISO proponent office
  • Familiarity with MISO approval processes and authorities
