We are searching for a talented Modeling & Simulation (M&S) developer to join our Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis (MS&A) team in support of an AFRL mission at Eglin AFB. The candidate will be expected to develop or modify existing threat models within Modeling & Simulation frameworks such as AFSIM, ITASE, and NGTS. These models include aircraft, weapons, sensors, and communications systems. The candidate will also be expected to incorporate the models into an AFSIM scenario, while performing testing and verification. The candidate will work closely with both Government stakeholders and Radiance teammates across the country supporting other AFRL and Intelligence Community missions. The products that you develop will be used to improve our nation’s capability by accurately modeling systems and systems interactions under study by the US Air Force and Department of Defense. We are focused on finding innovative self-starters who can adapt to a fast-paced, high-profile development effort.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
  • Minimum of a SECRET Collateral security clearance or ongoing TS/SCI clearance investigation
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in C++, C#, Python, or Java development
  • Experience working with MS&A tools such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE
  • Experience in modeling military systems
  • Experience developing, integrating, and refining physics-based models in simulation frameworks

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • Experience following agile development processes
  • Experience using source control and CI/CD tools such as git, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins, etc.
  • Experience with integrated development environments such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, PyCharm, etc.
  • Experience with virtual machine and container management platforms such as WSL2 and Docker
  • Experience in designing and developing MS&A visualization tools and enhancements
  • Experience in creating and managing design and development documentation
  • Familiarity with DoD security practices

Responsibilities
