At Peraton, you won’t just support the mission — you’ll define it. Peraton is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer - SME to support Weather and AAC efforts in Alaska. This role will provide senior engineering support for network infrastructure planning, assessment, implementation coordination, and operational integration across Alaska-based and remote-site environments.

Requirements

  • US. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience consistent with labor category requirements.
  • Experience in network infrastructure engineering, implementation, or technical support.
  • Experience supporting complex or distributed technical environments.
  • Experience coordinating across technical, field, and project teams.
  • Strong technical and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to and support field sites and remote locations, as required.
  • Ability to work in austere environments and Arctic conditions, including remote site access and limited-amenity accommodations.
  • Willingness to comply with applicable site safety, badging, and operational requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting FAA, remote-site, or mission-critical network environments.
  • Experience supporting field installations in Alaska or austere environments.
  • Familiarity with network documentation, design review, and implementation support.

Responsibilities

  • Support design, planning, and technical evaluation of network infrastructure solutions.
  • Review network requirements, existing conditions, and implementation considerations.
  • Coordinate with engineers, field personnel, subcontractors, and leadership to support execution.
  • Support integration of network infrastructure with broader system and site requirements.
  • Assist with technical issue resolution, risk identification, and implementation planning.
  • Review technical documentation, drawings, and supporting deliverables for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support field deployment, testing coordination, and turnover planning as needed.
