Senior Network Services Engineer
LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, Bedford MA
Salary Range:$125-$135,000 annually
JOB STATUS: Full-time
CLEARANCE: Secret

TRAVEL: Limited, as needed
Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network Services Engineer located at Hanscom AFB in Bedford Massachusetts to directly support the Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) program, which is within the C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a US Citizen
Must have a Secret Clearance
Education:
Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD
OR, Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD
OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoD.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and recommending network requirements.
• Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure.
• Analyzing network workload.
• Monitoring network capacity and performance.
• Diagnosing and resolving network problems.
• Recommending network backup and recovery procedures.
• Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading network operating systems software; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.
