About The Position

As a senior operations consultation manager on the Product, Brand, and Sustainability team, you will contribute to Starbucks success by providing operations expertise and consultation on key product initiatives. This includes supporting new product launches, shaping field‑facing resources and training, and guiding change‑management plans. Senior operations consultation managers lead the planning, development, and testing of large and highly complex products, systems, and programs within our coffeehouses ensuring they deliver customer experiences that strengthen and grow the Starbucks brand. In this role, you will collaborate across Starbucks to identify operational opportunities, drive consistency, and optimize performance in support of partners, customers, and the broader business.

Requirements

  • 3 years of Starbucks district manager experience or 6 years of progressively responsible, equivalent experience including 3 years in retail operations multi‑unit leadership and 3 years in implementation and/or project management within a retail or restaurant environment
  • Ability to communicate with clarity and purpose, both in writing and in conversation
  • Strong working knowledge of retail store operations, processes, and routines
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and build strong partnerships across all levels and functions
  • Ability to intake information, identifying what matters most, and synthesizing insights to guide next steps
  • A practical understanding of store operations that supports empathy for the partner and customer experience
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and creating thoughtful, inclusive solutions
  • Natural curiosity and the ability to ask questions that uncover insights and root causes
  • Ability to spot emerging trends, leverage leading indicators, and translate insights into meaningful action using available tools and data
  • Flexibility in scheduling based on business needs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Create (written and design) field- facing tool and resource materials
  • Collects project feedback and information to identify problems to solve and optimize performance.
  • Manage and build timelines for deliverables.
  • Manage and create content for Retail Communications outlets (Weekly Updates, exception comms, leadership comms, etc.)
  • Consult with peers, managers and program managers to support and make strategic decisions that impact how information arrives in our retail locations
  • Provide retail operations perspective and expertise on projects, programs and initiatives to optimize performance relative to sales, profitability and the customer and partner experience
