About The Position

Job Summary: The Senior Operator will be responsible for maintaining equipment efficiency and ensuring material availability associated with running a production line. Their work is to be consistent with established standards by performing the duties personally or through subordinate employees.

Requirements

Average math skills
Ability to read and interpret company documents
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels
Ability to use hand tools to perform repairs and setups
Mechanical or machine operation experience required
Experience with Ishida Scales, setting up recipes and settings
Experience with Ishida Checkweighers, setting up recipes and settings
Experience with date coders
Attend all food safety training sessions (GMP, SQF, HACCP, Allergen, Food Facility Security, Preventing Foodborne Illness)
Participate in company GMP walks
Enforce company rules regarding food safety and monitoring
Operate standard office equipment
Active position that requires standing continuously, walking frequently, sitting occasionally, reaching, and bending
Able to operate industrial equipment and company specific equipment.
Associate must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist the Supervisor on production floor tasks and supervision
Maintain all equipment to ensure efficient running
Adjust equipment to maximize line effectiveness
Escalate issues to the Production Supervisor and or the Maintenance Manager in the event any piece of the equipment at the line is not performing correctly
Report any non-critical machine deficiencies to Maintenance as needed
Supply all materials to each employee at the line when required to do so
Train all employees on tasks as needed
Enforce company rules regarding safety, discipline, cooperation and teamwork
Attend selected meetings
Perform line setups
Check production traceability reports
Check production reporting (lot codes, backflush, relocations, physicals)
Attend facility safety meetings monthly.
Submit reports on any accidents or near-miss situations.
Verify Lockout Tagout throughout the shift
Perform other duties as assigned by Management
