About The Position
We are looking for a highly skilled Oracle GoldenGate Engineer to join a dynamic technology team. This role is focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining real-time data replication and synchronization solutions across complex Oracle environments. Unlike a traditional DBA, this position emphasizes data movement, replication performance, and cross-database consistency, while leveraging in-depth Oracle database knowledge. This is an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical, high-volume real-time replication systems that drive business operations. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic, solution-focused team on challenging projects, taking ownership of complex replication challenges and delivering impactful solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Oracle database administration (18c/19c) with hands-on GoldenGate expertise
- Strong experience with GoldenGate setup, tuning, conflict resolution, and microservices architecture
- Proficiency with RAC, Data Guard, ASM, Exadata, and high-availability Oracle environments
- Database performance tuning using AWR, ADDM, and OEM
- Scripting/automation experience (shell, Python, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to operate in fast-paced, results-driven teams
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in heterogeneous replication environments is a plus
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and administer Oracle GoldenGate (Classic & Microservices) for real-time replication across on-premises and cloud databases
- Design and maintain replication topologies, including homogeneous (Oracle-Oracle) and heterogeneous (Oracle-NonOracle) environments
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize GoldenGate processes to ensure data consistency and minimal replication lag
- Collaborate with database teams to integrate replication solutions with RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Exadata, and other Oracle technologies
- Implement performance tuning strategies, parallel replication, and automation for high-throughput replication environments
- Develop scripts for monitoring, reporting, and operational efficiency
- Participate in 24x7 support rotations for critical replication issues and escalations
- Support database migrations, upgrades, and cross-system data synchronization initiatives
