About The Position

At Daxko, we believe people do their best work when they feel supported, valued, and set up for success. That starts with getting the fundamentals right—and payroll is one of the most important. We’re looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator who takes pride in precision, thrives on ownership, and sees payroll not just as a process, but as an opportunity to create trust and consistency across the organization. This is a hands-on, team-of-one role where you’ll lead end-to-end U.S. payroll operations while supporting our Employer of Record (EOR) processes. You’ll bring structure, insight, and continuous improvement to how we manage payroll—ensuring every employee is paid accurately, on time, and with confidence. You’ll report to our SVP of People, and partner closely with teams across People Operations, Finance, and Business Systems.

  • Deep attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
  • The ability to analyze complex data and turn it into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • A proactive, improvement-oriented mindset—you don’t just maintain processes, you make them better
  • Clear and approachable communication skills, with a focus on supporting internal stakeholders
  • 5+ years of payroll experience, including end-to-end U.S. payroll processing
  • Hands-on experience with UKG Pro and People Analytics (2+ years preferred)
  • Strong understanding of U.S. payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting global payroll or EOR environments

  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification
  • Familiarity with ACA reporting tools and JIRA

Responsibilities

  • Own the full U.S. payroll process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Lead payroll operations in UKG, including system configuration, audits, and ongoing optimization
  • Support payroll administration within EOR platforms, ensuring accurate data and smooth processing
  • Manage multi-state payroll tax compliance, including unemployment and income tax requirements
  • Oversee year-end payroll activities, including reconciliations, reporting, and compliance deliverables
  • Serve as the go-to resource for payroll questions, providing clear, timely support to employees and internal partners
  • Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and documentation that increase visibility and support better decision-making
  • Support payroll integration efforts during acquisitions, helping ensure a smooth transition and system alignment
  • Continuously improve payroll processes by identifying inefficiencies and leveraging automation and data insights
