As a Senior People Business Partner, you are a strategic advisor and a key partner in shaping the heartbeat of Upsun. You support leaders in embedding our values into everyday team practices, helping them build high-performing, healthy teams that can scale with the business. You bridge the gap between high-level business goals and the daily employee experience, ensuring our people strategy is well executed, scalable, and thoughtfully evolved as the business grows. You thrive in the "grey areas" of a scaling company, navigating the complexities of international remote work with empathy and data-driven precision. Whether you are coaching a first-time manager, designing a global performance framework, or leading a transformation project, your work directly influences the culture and success of our organization.

Requirements

  • Seasoned Expertise: You have a deep background as a People BP, specifically within high-growth tech startups or IaaS/SaaS environments.
  • Remote/Hybrid Mastery: You understand the nuances of building culture and trust across time zones and screens.
  • Strategic Project Leadership: A proven track record of leading transformative People projects (e.g., revamped leveling frameworks, global L&D programs) from ideation to execution.
  • Influential Communication: Exceptional English storytelling skills. You can convey complex People concepts to technical stakeholders with clarity and warmth.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: You are comfortable with data and use it to tell a story, but you never lose sight of the "human" behind the metrics.
  • High Autonomy: You are a self-starter who thrives in a decentralized, fast moving environment, setting your own pace and meeting deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • Inclusive Mindset: You naturally integrate diversity and equity into every facet of your work, ensuring all voices are heard.
  • Global Scale: Experience working in a globally distributed setting.

  • GTM & Sales Partnership: Experience supporting Go-to-Market (GTM), Sales, or customer-facing organizations (understanding the unique nuances of commission-based teams and high-pressure growth cycles).
  • Technical Literacy: A genuine curiosity for cloud infrastructure or the developer tools space.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in French or Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing coaching and insights that enhance organizational capability and team dynamics.
  • Program Ownership: Own the full lifecycle of some of our People initiatives (e.g., Talent Management, L&D, Engagement). You aren’t just designing the framework; you’re helping to execute, own the data, and refine the process.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage the balance between high-level strategy and "rolling up your sleeves" to support essential routines in compensation, performance cycles, and employee relations.
  • Analytical Influence: Leverage metrics and feedback loops to identify trends, raise pertinent issues, and propose proactive solutions to stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Guide teams through organizational shifts with clear communication and a focus on maintaining our unique cultural fabric.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to ensure a cohesive and supportive experience for all Upsunners.
