Role Summary The Trust Associate supports Relationship Managers and Personal Trust clients by coordinating daily account administration, resolving client inquiries, and ensuring accurate record management. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality fiduciary services while maintaining compliance with trust documents and regulatory requirements. It offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in trust administration while building strong client and internal partner relationships.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Paralegal Studies, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of banking, office administration, or paralegal experience
  • Less than 2 years of trust and investment experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and client service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting trust administration or fiduciary services
  • Familiarity with trust systems, financial planning tools (such as MoneyGuidePro), or banking operations
  • Experience reviewing legal or trust documentation

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily administration for personal trust and agency accounts, ensuring timely transaction processing, documentation, and record accuracy.
  • Support Relationship Managers with client service activities, presentations, financial planning materials, and updates within internal systems.
  • Respond to client inquiries and operational issues by partnering with internal teams such as customer care, legal, and credit to deliver timely resolutions.
  • Process trust account activity including account openings and closings, distributions, discretionary payment documentation, and cash transactions (ACH, wires, bill pay).
  • Review trust documents and account assets to help ensure compliance with fiduciary guidelines, legal requirements, and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate account records and monitor activity to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and risk management procedures.
  • Assist with financial planning inputs and reporting, including data entry in MoneyGuidePro and preparation of client materials.
  • Administer a small portfolio of lower-complexity accounts with oversight from a Relationship Manager and participate in client meetings when appropriate.
