Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical discipline (cyber certifications and management credentials considered).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (active clearance preferred).
  • Minimum 10+ years of systems engineering experience supporting military, DoD, or complex embedded platforms.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML
  • Embedded systems cybersecurity engineering (automotive or military platforms preferred)
  • Development and management of system-level cyber requirements
  • Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment (TARA) and cyber warfare (offensive/defensive) familiarity
  • Knowledge of cyber-physical system security requirements
  • Experience with electronic hardware integration and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
  • Strong foundation in software engineering and computer science principles
  • Experience interpreting high-level customer requirements and flowing them down to subsystem teams
  • Experience leading technical development teams
  • Ability to travel up to 15% (primarily domestic, occasional international)
  • Ability to climb on/off and work in/around military vehicles
  • Must be able to pass ASR (Anthropometric Size Requirement) test for confined spaces

Responsibilities

  • Exercise technical authority for Cyber Systems Engineering integration across cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with cost, schedule, and performance constraints.
  • Ensure a balanced, integrated, and compliant cyber design across vehicle systems, including SWaP-CRaM (Space, Weight, Power, Cooling, Reliability & Maintainability).
  • Develop, allocate, and manage system-level requirements and interface definitions, including performance, power, reliability, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Oversee requirements compliance documentation and system specification verification artifacts.
  • Lead and coordinate architecture development, design trades, and structured decision analysis for system and subsystem integration.
  • Conduct and manage system-level trade studies, evaluating impacts to space, weight, power, cost, reliability, and performance across cyber vehicle suites.
  • Develop and execute verification and validation (V&V) plans, including production testing and field site shakedown activities.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for development, production, and modification programs.
  • Develop and review design milestone artifacts and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) for technical accuracy and contractual compliance.
  • Coordinate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for threat analysis, requirements decomposition, and interface management.
  • Perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA) and conduct Cyber Tabletop Exercises (CTTX).
  • Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, and other federal cybersecurity standards.
  • Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and related cybersecurity documentation.
  • Evaluate emerging Cyber and C5ISR technologies for integration into ground combat vehicle platforms.
  • Lead peer reviews and contribute to enterprise-wide cyber best practices and culture development.
