About The Position

Facilitate the effective planning and forecasting of enterprise-wide project portfolios by maximizing the use of project planning tools. Support portfolio, project, and PMO leadership through reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement of project management tools and practices.

Requirements

  • Four years of related work experience
  • Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, principles and project management tools.
  • Advanced proficiency using MS office project (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Analytical and organizational skills in order to plan, prioritize and analyze project data.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with all levels of staff and management and proactively resolve issues in order to complete assignments on time.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, business or relative field.
  • Knowledge of SQL and SSRS reports and relational database management skills.
  • Understanding of the insurance and financial services industry.
  • Experience working across borders with multiple business groups.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the development, maintenance and analysis of reporting at the portfolio and project level, including exception reporting of portfolio issues.
  • Work closely with the PMO leadership team, portfolio and project managers to ensure that project portfolio information is maintained and available for planning and forecasting.
  • Support the time capture function within the planning tool.
  • Develop and maintain PMO project management toolsets and assist users to overcome challenges within work requests or projects.
  • Develop, maintain and analyze capacity reporting to help identify resourcing opportunities and constraints.
  • Provide project management tool training to all users.
  • Support PMO best practices by identifying efficiencies and improvements and making recommendations to PMO leadership.
