About The Position

As a Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator with our team at QGenda you will work closely with our Development and Site Reliability Teams to build new features, monitor and ensure performance, advise on schema refactoring efforts, provide developers with support, and assist in best practices for database design.

Requirements

• Experience with database High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR), backup strategies, and disaster recovery approaches
• Knowledge of best practices in database design and performance optimization query plans, T-SQL, and monitoring tools
• Experience with cloud-based SaaS solutions, specifically utilizing AWS technologies
• Understanding of ORM concepts and applying database object changes through code migrations
• Understanding of Agile development processes
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Experience communicating cross functionally with software development teams
• 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL; including performance tuning, query and index optimization, and administration
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, configuration, and monitoring tools
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, with a combination of administration and development
• Bachelor’s degree specializing in computing, engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
