In Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions, we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability. We are seeking an experienced EO/IR Systems Engineer to develop laser, electro-optic, and infrared systems for our defense aerospace customers with the Integrated Survivability Systems business line. The successful candidate will work as part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team contributing to the design, modeling, simulation, and testing efforts that will evolve next-generation of autonomous systems supporting the digital/electronic warfare battle environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with Systems Engineering principles and previous hands-on work with lasers or electro-optics systems. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed fulltime on site in Merrimack, NH. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field with 8+ years of related experience.
  • Must possess an active Secret clearance and be eligible for a SAP/SAR clearance
  • Experience performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers in other disciplines
  • Experience leading a small team of engineers
  • Prior experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM).

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in engineering or related STEM field with 6+ years of related experience or Ph.D. with 4 years of experience.
  • Experience with the full Systems Engineering lifecycle
  • Specific skills within the domains of active EO/IR, passive EO/IR or Electronic Warfare (EW)
  • Executing tasks in Agile Environments (Sprints, Daily Scrums, Retrospectives)
  • Experience with MBSE Digital Engineering and SysML applications/tools like MagicDraw
