About The Position

The Senior Processor is responsible for positively impacting the customer experience by effectively training and mentoring other Processors and Processor Trainees, and providing feedback to the store management team regarding their performance. The Senior Processor also sorts, processes, and stocks softline and hardline goods. This position prices and tags items to achieve highest dollar return and assumes responsibility for quality of donations processed. The position is a member of the Retail Team. Specific Duties: Follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures. Must possess professional etiquette.

Requirements

  • Must complete Goodwill Role Model Workers program and demonstrate the following skills: positive attitude, conflict resolution, self-presentation, team-building, budgeting, and time management.
  • Proficiency in production, donations, and customer service duties required.
  • If working at Benigno Retail Operations Center, proficiency in material handling, baling, forklift, and warehouse required.

Nice To Haves

  • High School or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
  • One (1) year of public contact experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Role model, train, and mentor other Processors and Processor Trainees on successfully engaging customers and learning technical skills needed to meet revenue and company goals.
  • Communicate clear priorities and productivity goals to Processors and Processor Trainees and maintain accountability for both team and individual goals.
  • Provide store management team with productivity updates and proactively identify performance issues.
  • Responsible to process all incoming softline and hardline goods as assigned, including clothing, household, and furniture items.
  • Maintains high quality in processing goods.
  • Generates a minimum of $10,000.00 in store sales from items processed during every two week production period.
  • Maintains accurate and consistent prices for selected items or housewares.
  • Empties containers and separates acceptable clothing, wares, collectables/antiques, and bin items.
  • Performs duties as a Barcoder, Donation-Utility Associate and Customer Service Associate when needed.
  • If working at Benigno Retail Operations Center, performs duties as a Material Handler, Baler, Warehouse Helper, and Customer Service Associate when needed.
  • Ability to serve as a keyholder for the store as proficiency is obtained in opening and closing procedures documented in the opening and closing checklist, as well as ensuring that registers are properly opened and closed, doors are opened and locked, and alarms are set correctly.
  • Stocking sales floor as assigned.
  • Keeps work area and surrounding area neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Follows all customer service guidelines; strives to provide exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Assist customers/donors as required, including accepting donations and selling merchandise.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • All other duties as assigned.
