About The Position

Join us at Goodparty.org to lead Product and Brand Design on our platform built to make people matter more than money in our democracy! You will bring expertise as a Design leader to develop a world-class user experience. You’ll lead the design of our software platform built for Independent political candidates and citizens who are ready to disrupt corruption in American politics. You’ll act as a player/coach in this role, where you will own design work while managing and mentoring a team of Product and Brand Designers. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience leading Design teams in consumer internet companies or consumer-quality SaaS companies. Requirements

You’re up for the audacious challenge of driving money out of politics and democratizing democracy.
You have 2+ years of experience leading Design teams in a consumer internet company or a consumer-quality SaaS company. You’ve managed a team of at least 3 direct reports.
You’ve also been an individual contributor for 3+ years, for a total of 5+ years of product design experience.
You’re highly skilled in both responsive web design and native mobile applications.
You’re highly proficient with design tools like Figma, Maze, etc.
You have a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
You build strong User Research practices to better understand your users.
You have strong communication skills. You are a storyteller.
You bring a clear creative direction from the highest level but are hands-on living and breathing the details.

Nice To Haves

You’ve led Brand teams and have a Brand Design or Agency background, and also have also been in-house as a Product Design leader.
You’ve studied, worked, or volunteered in politics, civics, or democracy reform.
You’re sick of sitting on the sidelines watching our democracy fail to meet its potential.

Responsibilities

Develop and grow a world-class team of Brand and Product Designers.
Create design processes that champion an iterative, fast-paced, data-driven design philosophy.
Partner with Product leadership to craft a product vision, and lead execution.
Bring your world-class design and brand taste to modernize our community engagement tools.
Develop user research best practices. Ensure consistent feedback loops in our Design cycles.
Elevate Goodparty.org’s brand and visual identity.
Champion the use of AI across your team. Set standards that emphasize velocity.
Obsess over the user experience and design accessible interfaces that work seamlessly for people with varying levels of ability.
Maintain high empathy in all facets of your team’s work.
Report to the Chief Product Officer.

The salary range is $147,000 - $185,000 (commensurate with experience) for this remote, full-time position with excellent benefits. Title will also be commensurate with experience. This range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, seniority, education, qualifications, certifications, and organizational needs.
