About the position

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Product Detail Page team. You'll collaborate with Product Managers, User Researchers, and Content Designers to bring concepts and product evolutions to life. You'll collaboratively design the vision for this key area of our journey. You'll work on a daily basis with developers to validate the technical feasibility of your proposals and to ensure the fulfillment of your craft, and you'll also be connected with other Back Market functions (Marketing, Brand, Business etc.) to help articulate the needs and expectations of the customer and the business.

Responsibilities

  • Designing a product detail experience that builds trust, allows customers to easily configure, communicates clearly on prices, and gives a glimpse into our tech circularity services like Trade-in / insurances.
  • Ensuring we balance user needs and business KPIs like CVR and AOV.
  • Being an equal partner with product managers, content designers, and engineers to build, maintain, and evolve Back Market's product page.
  • Contributing to the discovery, roadmapping, advocacy for the right approach, and delivering a best in class customer experience.
  • Collaborating with user researchers to bring clarity to ambiguous problems with relevant customer insights, and consulting quantitative and qualitative data to inform your design decisions.
  • Advocating for and facilitating design methods and tools to help your team deliver solutions that actually work for our customers and business.
  • Ensuring clarity and comprehension in your or your team's proposed ideas and solutions from conception to delivery through useful documentation and tidy working practices.
  • Proactively advocating your impact and autonomously communicating progress, learnings, and goals to the company and beyond.

Requirements

  • You are perfectly fluent in English.
  • You have 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • You have your ear to the ground regarding new tools and technologies that help our work become more effective and efficient.
  • You can contribute inclusive design practices, are comfortable in voicing your opinion, and love mentoring and coaching others.
  • You have an attention to detail regarding edge cases, hierarchy, and accessibility.
  • You are inherently curious, you proactively explore different solutions, you are idealistic but you challenge the status quo responsibility and can always find the middle ground.
  • You think about interfaces not as static pixels but as dynamic experiences and can express yourself with motion, flows and stories.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with app engineers, knowledge of Apple and Android design specificities/guidelines.
  • Experience working with and contributing to a design system.

Benefits

  • A mission driven work environment where your day to day makes an impact on the planet.
  • Hybrid work environment, with 2 remote days a week and 1 remote work week per quarter, plus 3 flex days.
  • Employee Resource Groups, including mentorship programs, comprehensive accessibility policies, and cultural competency training.
