About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the 2K: Core Games Product team focused on working with Gearbox Studios. Your role will be to help strategically shape content, live service, and monetization plans to marry player value and commercial goals. You will work closely with studios, product leadership, and other product managers to develop, guide, implement, and optimize the strategies supporting the creative vision of the products in our portfolio. You will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing Product Management needs across multiple projects. You will represent Product Management to executive stakeholders across both the studio and 2K, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and driving the successful execution of product initiatives.

Requirements

  • Data-informed decision maker who is able to balance business priorities, the player perspective, resources, capacity, and developer needs.
  • Experience working with Consumer Insights, User Experience Research, Data Science and other research and insights functions
  • Understand opportunities and gaps within the market, player motivational and persona frameworks, and how to apply that knowledge to influence game direction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify, structure, and communicate information for all levels of the organization
  • Alignment-building bias. Preference for collaboration, influence and education to get results.
  • Product Management experience in AAA games with an emphasis on looter shooters, action-adventure, first-person shooters, and co-op experiences.
  • Excel in ambiguous environments and enjoy driving clarity.
  • Passion for games and skill in deconstructing what makes a game successful.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong critical thinking, strategy, problem-solving, business analysis, and data-informed decision-making capabilities
  • Well-versed within immersive sims, narrative, RPG, and action-adventure in particular.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools and comfortable building models to explore opportunities while working closely with analytics
  • Engaged learner within the market space and what’s going on in our industry - including constantly updating that understanding
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau (SQL double plus)

Responsibilities

  • Closely collaborate with development and publishing teams to define product priorities for multiple projects, including:
  • Develop deep expertise in the games in your portfolio and their competition. Lead critical initiatives, manage priorities, and share valuable insights across the portfolio and Product teams to continue to evolve our product strategy.
  • Lead and drive the process of evaluating product market fit for our games, working cross functionally to strategically impact product direction for multiple titles throughout the full development lifecycle, from concept to post-launch
  • Provide insights-backed product recommendations to studios, collaborating with insights teams (Data Science, Consumer Insights, UXR) to analyze player behavior, assess product performance, and guide product priorities and roadmaps.
  • Define telemetry needs, critical metrics, reporting, and analyses needed to develop insights into player behaviors in partnership with the Analytics team. Analyze data and translate it into insights and strategies that enable us to meet and exceed core franchise targets.
  • Work alongside Commercial Growth teams to build strategies for pricing, in-game promotions, SKUs, and ongoing content.
  • Lead and prioritize the work of other Product Managers and Data Analysts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and the delivery of high-quality results.
  • Market Intelligence – Deliver research on the competitive landscape, trends, competitor products, including product teardowns and competitive analysis.
  • Be the Product Champion – Share insights, processes, and lessons learned with other studio & publishing teams.
  • Be the Player Advocate – Understand and advocate for the player’s perspective to ensure the development of fair and balanced engagement & monetization models that empower customer choice and value for time.
