We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in the group and individual insurance space. You will bring strong technical fluency and an entrepreneurial mindset to help drive innovative product solutions that transform how insurers underwrite, price, and manage risk within these products. In this role, you’ll be the connective tissue between our engineering, data science, and client-facing teams—driving the development of cutting-edge AI/ML-powered solutions tailored to the unique needs of customers in the insurance market.
Responsibilities
- Lead product strategy and execution for AI/ML-powered tools across the insurance product lifecycle, including underwriting, policy administration, claims, and risk management.
- Partner with clients, sales, and service teams to identify opportunities, gather feedback, and shape the product roadmap.
- Present product concepts and roadmaps to internal stakeholders and external clients, including at the executive level.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and user stories, collaborating closely with engineering and data teams.
- Engage in deep technical conversations with software developers, data engineers, and data scientists—and serve as the translator between business and technical stakeholders.
- Drive product development from ideation to launch, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Proactively identify and solve complex business problems using creativity and strategic thinking.
- Balance technical feasibility, customer impact, and business priorities to deliver maximum value.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in a SaaS or startup environment.
- Direct experience in the group and individual insurance industry.
- Proven track record leading product implementations from concept to launch.
- Ability to confidently engage with engineering and data teams; fluency in technical discussions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, actionable concepts.
- Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and delivering results in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
- A creative, collaborative mindset with the confidence to share your point of view and navigate differing opinions.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML, data pipelines, software architecture, or tools like Python is a plus.
- Experience working in Confluence and Jira to facilitate a disciplined product development process.
- Comfortable operating independently to deliver results.
