About The Position

Seeking a Senior Project Construction Manager to oversee complex construction projects supporting critical site operations. The role manages construction execution from conceptual design through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within cost constraints, and to required quality standards. The position provides construction input during project planning and design phases and leads project teams through construction turnover and completion.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 15-17 years of construction experience , or Associate's degree with 17-19 years of construction experience , or High school diploma with 19-21 years of construction experience
In-depth knowledge of construction execution, cost control, and scheduling
Experience with subcontract administration
Strong understanding of project management and project planning
Experience supporting construction startup, operations, or maintenance environments
Working knowledge of civil and architectural installation codes including IBC, ACI, AISC, OSHA , and related standards
Ability to identify design issues early by integrating construction knowledge into planning and execution
Experience collaborating with engineering and procurement teams to ensure constructability is incorporated into design documents, purchase orders, and subcontracts
Ability to coordinate design, procurement, construction, and startup sequencing to minimize critical path duration

Nice To Haves

Previous DOE clearance (L or Q) held within the past two years
Experience supporting SRPPF projects
Experience with civil engineering drawings and construction including soils, stormwater management, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and equipment supports
Experience integrating design, procurement, and construction activities to improve total installed cost and project schedule performance

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of construction projects and maintenance activities across multiple complex, multi-million-dollar projects.
Provide leadership and oversight of construction activities from conceptual design through project completion.
Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with site safety requirements.
Manage construction execution to ensure projects meet schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
Assign and manage project personnel, including coordination with technical departments such as project controls and supervision.
Provide construction input throughout conceptual design, design reviews, and project execution phases.
Lead project teams and review boards to develop construction strategies and provide cost and schedule guidance.
Establish and manage project cost, schedule, and technical baselines.
Manage project staff and matrix personnel to maintain project performance objectives.
Conduct complex analysis related to construction activities and develop corrective action strategies when needed.
Perform risk analyses and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Deliver concise written and verbal status updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, and changes.
Manage professional and nonexempt personnel including performance management, development, and mentoring.
