Holman has a great opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Louisville, KY! Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am-4:30pm (Flexible) Eligible for benefits within 30 days of employment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field such as Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD package.
  • Proficient in other desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis.
  • 4-7 years’ relevant experience in design related Engineering role.
  • Previous experience with welding, sheet metal forming, mobile hydraulic and 12 volt DC electrical circuits.
  • Must pass a drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous AutoCAD / DraftSight experience is preferred.
  • Experience with SolidWorks Enterprise Product Data Management is preferred.
  • Project Management training or certificate program preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project timelines, delegate tasks, and lead cross functional project team as required.
  • Design, integrate, and test truck and van mounted equipment.
  • Design truck bodies and/or truck and van accessories from various materials
  • Create detailed drawings for manufacturing
  • Create simplified drawings for customer review and approval
  • Create electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics as required
  • Resolve design, assembly, and manufacturing problems in a timely manner
  • Develop, publish, and maintain operating manuals for our products
  • Develop, publish, and maintain assembly instructions to support the Operations team
  • Communicate effectively with sales, manufacturing, suppliers and customers.
  • Support field network of shops by providing troubleshooting information
  • Perform structural CAD analysis
  • Perform and review physical test fitments of newly designed or modified product
  • Review CAD designs prior to release.
