The Sr. Project Engineer position is a professional engineering position within the AO NA Engineering organization, that is responsible for scoping, designing, and executing capital projects for the installation of processes and equipment used in manufacturing plants in North America. This position requires strong technical and project management skills and an analytical aptitude to properly investigate data, implement change and execute capital projects. The Sr. Project Engineer effectively interfaces regularly with all levels of Henkel, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills. This position will often serve as a process consultancy role within the company. A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering is required to be successful in this position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 6 years experience in the Chemical Process Industry preferred
  • Work experience in and/or supporting a Chemical Manufacturing Environment required
  • Detailed knowledge in capital project execution and project management required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Strong technical and data analysis skills required
  • Willingness and ability to travel 10% of time required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in PLC and/or DCS control system preferred
  • Ability to multi task effectively and execute multiple projects at various stages.
