As a Senior Project Manager – Data Center Design and Construction, you will oversee complex design/build, construction management, and construct‑only projects from initial assignment through completion. You will be responsible for all construction activities across assigned data center and mission‑critical projects, ensuring excellence in safety, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction. This position requires someone that has led the full construction leadership scope as the General Contractor, including subcontractor buyout, safety and field execution, schedule ownership, RFIs and submittals, change management, pay apps, and coordination of all trades through turnover. ​

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in project management
  • Strong background in data center design and construction, or mission‑critical environments (ie. Semiconductors)
  • Expertise in managing budgets, schedules, materials, subcontractors, and project teams
  • Thorough knowledge of construction methods, engineering concepts, building systems, and technology
  • Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and compliance
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, organization, collaboration, and analytical skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time
  • Strong alignment with organizational values such as teamwork, excellence, service, and integrity

Responsibilities

  • Support project directors in responding to RFPs, including estimates, schedules, and proposal documents
  • Participate in client presentations when required
  • Monitor progress of design documents and contribute to design review meetings
  • Provide input on constructability, scope changes, and cost impacts
  • Prepare detailed estimates, cost codes, and project cost‑control systems
  • Develop bid packages, solicit and analyze bids, qualify subcontractors, and award major subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Collaborate with construction leadership to establish project staffing and organizational structure
  • Plan, sequence, and schedule the project with input from superintendents and subcontractors
  • Lead jobsite meetings and maintain regularly updated project schedules
  • Manage cost controls, labor reports, financial summaries, and project reporting
  • Coordinate with governing authorities for permits, inspections, and final approvals
  • Oversee submittal processes including scheduling, review, approval, and expediting to maintain schedule compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
  • Lead progress meetings, correspondence, change orders, reporting, and responses to client inquiries
  • Prepare invoices and optimize project cash flow through timely invoicing and collections
  • Prepare and secure owner acceptance of contract change orders
  • Issue subcontract modifications and ensure accuracy of budget updates
  • Review and approve subcontractor pay applications, schedules of value, insurance compliance, and performance
  • Address subcontractor performance issues with documentation and corrective actions
  • Monitor field progress, quality, and safety; collaborate with superintendents to resolve issues
  • Lead close‑out activities, punch lists, and warranty management to ensure successful project turnover
