About The Position

A global architecture, engineering, construction, and consulting solutions firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager – Water/Wastewater Construction to join its expanding Construction & Manufacturing Team. This is a high‑visibility leadership role supporting complex municipal and industrial water/wastewater projects for one of the most respected design‑build organizations in the industry. In this senior role, you will oversee major water/wastewater construction projects or manage multiple project managers simultaneously. You’ll work closely with project directors, field leadership, and clients to ensure safe, high‑quality, and on‑schedule delivery across the United States. The Construction & Manufacturing Team provides field management expertise, logistical support, continuous training, and strong career development pathways. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial water/wastewater facility construction, design, or project management
  • Deep understanding of industrial water/wastewater design and construction
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑up skills
  • Strong client‑facing, relationship‑building, and sales aptitude
  • High energy, self‑motivation, and enthusiasm
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to travel 50%+
  • This role requires the ability to: Travel frequently to project sites and other locations
  • Stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and lift/move 10–50 lbs
  • Use hands for coordination, typing, and equipment operation
  • Sit, reach, talk, and hear during daily activities
  • Maintain visual acuity for computer work, reading, and field tasks

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project directors to develop RFP responses, conceptual estimates, schedules, and proposal documentation
  • Create detailed estimates, cost codes, budgets, and cost control systems
  • Work with construction leadership to define jobsite organization, including superintendent and craft labor needs
  • Maintain submittal control and ensure schedule compliance
  • Prepare contract change orders and secure client approval
  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor payment processes
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and execution standards throughout all phases of construction
  • Lead project close‑out activities and manage warranty processes
  • Provide direction and mentorship to one or more project managers
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and partners
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships, supporting long‑term business development efforts
