About The Position

The Senior Quality Manager is the leader of the Quality organization and is responsible for driving and executing the vision of the organization. The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for driving a quality culture in an Aerospace organization and ensuring compliance to customer and industry requirements. The Senior Quality Manager is accountable for maintaining and/or improving all aspects of the Quality System, including AS9100, NADCAP. In addition, this position is to be the prime customer contact related to quality concerns.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred, at least 5 years quality experience in manufacturing
  • Exceptional multi-tasker- Working with multiple people in multiple department on multiple projects
  • Enthusiastic- days will be hard and I need to know you will recovery from stressful situations quickly
  • Good at leading a team & relationship building – ability to lead various employees on quality focused events such as dives, process mapping, etc. Ability to get along and work with all types of personalities, whether they frustrate you or not
  • Gumption – spirited initiative and resourcefulness, answers won’t be handed to you, you need to find them. Must be able to adapt to a changing environment while working both individually and as a member of a team
  • Accountability without responsibility - No one reports to you but you're accountable for everything
  • Self-motivated busybody – must love to be busy all the time
  • Confident yet humble – will be dealing with customers must have ability to speak confidently on what you know
  • Curiosity - must be curious, ask questions, be able to communicate across the company and want to learn
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material

Responsibilities

  • Ensure company meets requirements as supplied by internal procedure, customer or industry standards
  • Maintain root cause and corrective action system that eliminates duplicate nonconformance by effectively implementing corrective actions
  • Implement tools necessary to ensure process control and comply with customer requirements such as PPAP, standard work, SPC, KPC, etc
  • Coordinate, participate and lead continuous improvement efforts in collaboration with Production
  • Any other tasks, duties or responsibilities requested by your supervisor
  • Manage data collection, analysis and reporting of quality data such as rework, scrap and cost of quality
