About The Position

This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, managing the work of staff on multiple projects concurrently, and will oversee the deliverable process, while evaluating opportunities for improvement on efficiencies and modifications of overall project objectives. Additionally, this position has the potential to manage projects, with responsibility for preparing strategic scopes and proposals.

Requirements

  • A regulatory professional with a minimum of 15 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Ecology, Planning, Outdoor Recreation, Political Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulatory processes, including but not limited to FERC licensing, NEPA, State 401 Clean Water Act, and US Army Corps Engineers 404 permits.
  • Must possess excellent oral communication skills, including presentation abilities, with advanced writing and editing abilities.
  • Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience with Alaska-specific regulatory drivers and stakeholder groups is highly desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will forge long-term professional relationships with existing clients to obtain continued work, as well as engage in new client development, and attract work by marketing, proposal writing, strategizing, and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Peer mentoring and mentoring of junior level employees will be a focus.
  • Experience working on various aspects of large projects , working directly with senior leaders and clients to provide practical solutions to complex problems affecting renewable energy, water, and the environment.
