About The Position

The Senior Associate, Remarketing supports the resale of repossessed collateral property to maximize returns and mitigate losses while in compliance with internal policies and procedures and legal requirements for repossessed property.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in vehicle financing and/or sales
  • Strong knowledge of FDCPA is preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously, to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
  • Strong business communication skills; able to write/speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences
  • Proven ability to professionally handle sensitive documents
  • Strong research, problem solving and decision-making skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of the financial industry operating areas including functions, products & services is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Certification/License: N/A

Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordination of the auction sale of repossessed collateral to maximize recovery level (including assign and prepare units for sale, approve reconditioning of units, apply floor pricing, and attend auction to approve, deny or counter qualified offers)
  • Provide recommendations for initiating legal action
  • Appear at court hearings and trials as necessary
  • Conduct skip tracing, as necessary, to obtain contact information in order to contact delinquent/defaulted members
  • Draft, distribute and monitor letters, notices, and forms and ensure accuracy and completeness of all file documentation and member communication
  • Participate in department projects and initiatives as required
  • Maintain Remarketing procedures and processes in alignment with seasonal and/or market conditions or regulatory changes
  • Obtain possession of assigned vehicles, boats, and RVs in collaboration with Collectors and vendors
  • Facilitate reinstatements or redemptions when necessary
  • Work assigned queues and make collection attempts when necessary
  • Review titles and process for sale at auction
  • Follow up on titles with state DMV
  • Follow up on warranty cancellations, maintenance or service contract cancellations and insurance premium refunds to ensure maximum recovery
  • Assist with maintaining strong vendor relationships, and monitoring and managing vendor service levels
