About The Position

Immunome is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist to serve as the Yeast Display Lead within the discovery organization. This hands-on, laboratory-based role will be responsible for establishing, owning, and advancing Immunome’s internal yeast display antibody discovery capabilities. The successful candidate will lead library design and construction, execute and optimize selection and screening strategies, and drive hit identification and downstream characterization efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a core antibody discovery platform and collaborate closely with discovery, translational, and preclinical teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with a minimum of 8 years; or Ph.D. with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Significant experience in drug discovery with deep expertise in yeast display technologies.
  • Multiple years of hands-on experience in yeast display library construction, selections, and downstream characterization.
  • Advanced proficiency with Benchling and related data management systems.
  • Subject matter expertise in yeast display and antibody discovery platforms.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Phage display experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize yeast display antibody libraries, including synthetic and immune-derived formats.
  • Execute and oversee all stages of library construction, including cloning, transformation, expression assessment, and quality control.
  • Plan, perform, and continuously improve MACS- and FACS-based selection strategies.
  • Lead hit deconvolution using next-generation sequencing and sequence enrichment analyses.
  • Conduct downstream characterization including expression testing, biophysical assays, and flow cytometry.
  • Analyze complex datasets and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate electronic laboratory notebooks.
  • Collaborate across biology, protein engineering, chemistry, pharmacology, and translational teams.
