The laboratory of Roger Belizaire, MD, PhD, is a team of research investigators at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Our laboratory uses a range of molecular and cell biological techniques to elucidate the molecular basis of cancer and hematologic disorders and to develop novel therapeutics. A full-time Senior Research Technician position is available. Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leader in life changing breakthroughs in cancer research and patient care. We are united in our mission of conquering cancer, HIV/AIDS, and related diseases. We strive to create an inclusive, diverse, and equitable environment where we provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all backgrounds, and design programs to promote public health particularly among high-risk and underserved populations. We conduct groundbreaking research that advances treatment, we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers, and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals. This is an ideal mid-level position in the world of cutting-edge cancer research. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging research environment, and can interact well with others as part of a cohesive team. Our group studies the pathobiology of myelodysplastic syndromes and myeloid malignancies, using a combination of quantitative proteomics, genetic and chemical screens, protein biochemistry, and cell-based assays. We aim to comprehensively characterize oncogenic phospho-signaling in myeloid neoplasms; to define genetic dependencies associated with recurrent oncogenic drivers; and to leverage our understanding to inform targeted therapies for adult and pediatric patients with myeloid neoplasms.
