You will join the team as a Senior Reward Partner, acting as the primary compensation advisor for a global business function. You will own the reward relationship end-to-end, moving beyond a service desk model to become the authoritative voice that senior leaders consult before making critical talent decisions. Your work will involve designing, implementing, and evolving reward programmes that align with Xero’s strategy to attract and retain key talent across your portfolio. You will make a tangible impact by proactively surfacing where reward strategy needs to shift and by leading high-stakes projects like the annual salary review. Whether you are managing the global Go-To-Market portfolio or focusing on the Americas region, you will influence how stakeholders think about reward trade-offs, reframing cost discussions into strategic retention investments. You will be part of a high-trust, distributed team of compensation experts based across San Mateo, San Francisco, and New Zealand. The team connects through twice-weekly syncs to align on priorities and celebrate wins, complemented by weekly one-on-one sessions and a culture that values shipping fast with low bureaucracy. Building foundational compensation infrastructure including new job architecture and equity refresh methodologies. Developing a global pay transparency framework and a total rewards portal to enhance the employee experience. Redesigning compensation structures to support Xero's growth in the small business and partnership ecosystem. This role is based in our San Mateo office with a hybrid working model. You will enjoy the balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, participating in quarterly in-person sessions to strengthen team connections.
