About The Position

Geothermal energy is the most abundant renewable energy source in the world. However, historically it’s been hard to find and expensive to develop. At Zanskar, we’re using better technology to find and develop new geothermal resources in order to make geothermal a cost-effective and vital contributor to a carbon-free energy future. We are revolutionizing the exploration process, setting new industry standards for discovery rates and finding new prospects at an unprecedented scale. The growing development team at Zanskar is advancing a multi-gigawatt portfolio of firm, carbon-free energy projects, and needs a Head of Permitting to lead all key permitting efforts in order to bring our projects online.
We need a ROW Agent to participate in all aspects of securing site control for greenfield prospecting, exploration and development work, with an immediate emphasis on right-of-way for transmission lines. The ROW Agent is expected to work as an expert in negotiating with landowners to acquire access for field operations and exploration teams. The ROW Agent will collaborate with the cross discipline teams within the company and throughout the negotiation process to ensure the company pays market prices and the right lands are acquired on a timely basis. The ROW Agent will also help the company initiate mutually beneficial relationships with all our landowners and partners. Success will be when you have secured access to certain prospects in a timely fashion, within budget and with all land and regulatory partners in agreement.

Requirements

• 5 + years of right of way or applicable land work (required): work can include land/ right-of- way acquisition, title research, due diligence, land valuation, contract negotiations, project support and/or community engagement.
• Membership in the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) or International Right of Way Association (IRWA).

Nice To Haves

• Land Certifications (preferred): ; Right of Way Agent (RWA) equivalent or higher.; Registered Landman (RL) equivalent or higher also considered.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred): A Bachelor'ss degree in Real Estate, Land Management, or a related field is not required, but is a plus.
