We are currently seeking a Senior Sales Representative , based out of our New Berry, FL plant near Gainesville, FL. As a Senior Sales Representative, you drive territory sales growth through customer relationships, market development, and collaboration with internal teams. Day to Day Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations. Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned. Under general supervision of the Arcosa Area Sales Manager, promote, coordinate and participate in sales and/or service activities among selected types of customers or prospects. Develop sales plans and seeks and gathers information to identify opportunities to expand or improve market positions. Assists with the development and execution of long-term product strategies that support sales projections. Responsible for inventories in assigned territories. Assists with new products and price settings. Contacts and maintains existing or potential customer relationships; resolves and/or refers customer problems to appropriate function. Promotes satisfactory customer relations by working closely with internal and external customers to ensure prompt service to customers. Accountable for development and understanding of state, county and municipal bid letting procedures, engineering and design processes, project material specifications and material testing specifications. Conducts local sales and market surveys. Promotes Company products and materials to engineers, architects and other specifying authorities. Communicates with other areas and groups within Company to promote goodwill to assist with establishment of common goals. Keeps informed of changes in assigned responsibilities which may affect product sales, contract procedures and product prices. Develops forecast on anticipated market sales by gathering, evaluating and presenting to management all market information regarding company products and/or opportunities to include in development of new productions. Participates in community and social activities that enhance Company’s position in sales. Maintains records; prepares and submits reports on sales activity. Responsible for understanding Company’s production plant capabilities, efficiencies and cost to ensure maximum service to customers. Responsible for timely collection of monies owed to Company and provide lien data to the credit department as appropriate. Other duties as assigned. About You Thorough knowledge of aggregates and construction materials, including proficient knowledge of customer uses of our products (i.e., crushed rock, base rock, etc.) Required work experience: 5+ years’ experience in sales & marketing, prior experience in hard rock mining industry preferred. Knowledge regarding pricing strategies and sales forecasting Strong interpersonal communication skills – verbal/written to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point Must be a self-starter and able to work with little supervision. The ability to join and participate in industry-related associations and represent the company in such activities. Education: Bachelor’s/Undergraduate Degree, comparable experience may be substituted for preferred degree. Field of study preferred: Business, sales, marketing, construction management. Travel requirement: ability to travel locally and regionally. Overnight travel may be required. Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance.
