The scope of the DMS group focuses on research conducted during the discovery, manufacturing and preclinical safety, before the compound advances to larger confirmatory clinical trials. Job Description: Within the department of Discovery, Manufacturing and Safety Statistics (DMS) at Janssen R&D, we are currently seeking for an enthusiastic biostatistician (m/f) with a broad knowledge of statistical modelling to strengthen our statistical team in the US supporting drug discovery in Preclinical Sciences & Translational Safety (PSTS) and Immunology. The successful candidate will support anti-drug antibody studies, bio-analytical validation experiments, translational biomarker studies, and in vitro and in vivo experiments supporting the immunology portfolio. He/she will contribute to making informed decisions in drug discovery through his/her analytical mindset, analysis skills, experimental design suggestions and through appropriate reporting and communication of data evidence for research and development needs at Janssen. The candidate will collaborate within cross-functional teams and with external contractors. Participation in scientific activities in the local professional community can be expected. Requirements: The Statistician’s primary responsibilities include collaborating with researchers on experimental design, data analysis, and the interpretation and clear communication of results. Good knowledge of biostatistics is essential to this role, as is the use of statistics in decision-making and the eagerness to learn the underlying science and business. The successful candidate will serve as initial consultation contact for new projects in the drug discovery portfolio, maintains and grows customer base and builds loyal relationships with customers. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap from preclinical experiments to first-in-human trials and the use of preclinical information to establish a safe first dose in humans You will assume independent, professional responsibility for all phases of a project request from beginning through completion with minimal supervision needed. You will manage multiple projects. You document projects in sufficient detail for reproducibility You enjoy building long-term collaborative relationships with research investigators, is proactive and communicates and promotes the use of good statistical practices and software to ensure data integrity and reproducibility. Qualifications: PhD in Statistics or related field with minimum 0-2 years relevant experience, or Master’s in Statistics or related field with commensurate years of relevant experience. Requirements

  • PhD in Statistics or related field with minimum 0-2 years relevant experience, or Master’s in Statistics or related field with commensurate years of relevant experience.
