EmpiRx Health is experiencing a period of accelerated growth and platform expansion. We are seeking a highly effective Senior Scrum Master who is passionate about delivering outcomes and value across teams. This role goes beyond facilitating ceremonies and focuses on driving predictable delivery, improving flow, and strengthening alignment across teams, product, and functional leadership. The Senior Scrum Master is deeply integrated with engineering teams while also operating at a broader level—identifying systemic delivery issues, mentoring Scrum Masters, and collaborating with leadership to ensure delivery execution aligns with organizational priorities. Azure DevOps (ADO) serves as the central platform for workflow, transparency, and delivery insights. The ideal candidate possesses a proactive approach, problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of accelerating software delivery. They possess a profound understanding of Agile methodologies and software development practices.

Requirements

10+years’ experience as a Scrum Master, Senior Scrum Master, or Agile Delivery Lead in a software development environment.
3+years of lead or supervisory experience.
Proven success improving delivery performance across multiple teams.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps(boards, dashboards, analytics, queries).
Deep practical understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and flow-based delivery.
Demonstrated ability to influence across teams and leadership without formal authority.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and systems-thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Drive Delivery & Flow (Primary Focus)
Ensure multiple teams consistently deliver value within two-week sprints or Kanban flow where applicable.
Improve delivery predictability, throughput, and flow across teams.
Proactively identify delivery risks, dependencies, and systemic bottlenecks.
Guide teams in forecasting, planning, and executing work with confidence and accountability.
Promote and interpret flow metrics (cycle time, lead time, throughput, velocity, WIP) to drive improvement—not enforcement.
Azure DevOps (ADO) Leadership
Set and reinforce high standards for ADO usage across teams that include:
Backlog clarity and readiness.
Sprint and iteration setup.
Board configuration and WIP visibility.
Dashboards that clearly communicate goals, progress, and risks.
Ensure ADO reflects reality and provides reliable delivery insights to teams and leadership.
Contribute to the evolution of enterprise ADO standards, templates, and reporting practices.
Coach teams and Scrum Masters on advanced use of dashboards, analytics views, and queries.
Agile Execution & Coaching
Facilitate and elevate core ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) with a focus on outcomes and decision-making.
Drive retrospectives that result in sustained, measurable improvements.
Coach Product Owners and Engineering Leads on:
Backlog management and readiness
Capacity planning and forecasting
Dependency and risk management
Help teams mature from ceremony-driven execution to outcome-driven delivery.
Cross Team Delivery Alignment
Support and coordinate delivery across multiple teams working on shared initiatives.
Maintain regular alignment with functional managers, product leaders, and delivery stakeholders.
Ensure team execution aligns with both product priorities and functional manager–led initiatives.
Facilitate conversations that resolve prioritization conflicts, capacity constraints, and cross-team dependencies.
Organizational Agility & Leadership
Mentor and support other Scrum Masters and delivery leads.
Identify and address systemic issues that limit delivery effectiveness.
Lead or contribute to Agile transformation initiatives with a strong delivery lens.
Contribute to the Agile Community of Practice.
Promote consistency in sprint cadence, review quality, and visibility across the organization.
Act as a trusted delivery advisor to leadership, providing concise, data-informed insights.
