About The Position

The Senior Scrum Master coordinates an agile development team, ensures all activities use the principles of the Scrum Framework. The Senior Scrum Master work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but relevant years’ experience considered.
• 5 years' experience
• Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) or willingness to pursue.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team's efforts in continuous improvement
• Enforcing the rules of the Agile process
• Eliminating impediments
• Ensure communication across teams and projects by attending Scrum of Scrums
• Champion Agile processes and roles
• Ensure the team remains focused on the tasks
• Monitor daily issues impacting the team; facilitate resolutions and escalation as necessary
• Engage in prioritization with product owner and program management
• Thorough understanding of sprint capacity, velocity, story sizing, story risk analysis, and story management
• Coordinates with team partners towards on-time delivery of critical projects and programs for their teams
• Identifies and manages the risks associated with their team
• Promotes improved engineering practices
• Ensures that JIRA accurately reflects teamwork and progress
• Provides RTE with information needed for appropriate status reporting to our stakeholders.
