About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Security Architect – Data & AI Security reporting to the Director of GCS, Integrated Defensive Engineering and Arch (IDEA) You will define and drive secure, scalable architectures for enterprise data platforms and AI systems, evaluate vendor security tooling to strengthen data and AI security for State Street.

Requirements

• Strong Cyber Security and Data Security background
• Experience delivering large-scale data and AI security initiatives

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in information security, focused on data and/or cloud security
• Strong understanding of AI security and privacy risks
• Experience with cloud security controls (IAM, KMS, encryption)
• Certifications such as CISSP or CCSP preferred

Responsibilities

• Define and drive data security architecture and engineering, including data labeling, encryption, Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), and database/data access monitoring.
• Lead GenAI security design, mitigating risks such as data leakage, prompt injection, and model misuse or abuse.
• Translate regulatory, risk, and audit requirements into practical security controls and reference architectures, partnering closely with all three Lines of Defense (1LOD, 2LOD, 3LOD) to meet regulatory and audit expectations.
