Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • US citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within one of the components of the Chemical and Biological Defense Program or with an interagency equivalent.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DoD security policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Experience with personnel security, information security, and special access programs.
  • Understanding of classification management and security clearance processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Support oversight of DoD chemical agent and BSAT (Biological Select Agents and Toxins) security programs, reviewing and developing security policy for chemical and biological agents.
  • Respond to DODIG and GAO findings on chemical agent and BSAT security, developing waivers and exceptions to policy as needed.
  • Review agreements for provisioning/transfer of chemical agent to non-DoD entities, supporting chemical agent provisioning program tasks.
  • Perform assessments for DoD Executive Agent for BSAT Biorisk Program, supporting planning for Non-Traditional Agents (NTAs) administration.
  • Coordinate policy with national and DoD leadership, providing interagency coordination on bio policy and supporting implementation of DoD bio policy with federal policy and Executive Orders.
  • Participate in Interagency Working Groups, coordinating with EOP, NSS, FACs, and other Federal Agencies on security matters.
  • Prepare the Technical Assessment for Biological Agent Surety and Security Report annually in September, monitoring laboratory security operations and supporting mission assurance/CBRN survivability efforts.
