About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient solutions that align with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design & Development: Architect and develop complex ServiceNow applications, modules, and integrations. Work closely with Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to understand and document the business outcomes and functional requirements, and lead the design of complex, effective ServiceNow solutions that align with those needs. Create and maintain advanced workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and server-side scripts. Platform Enhancements: Implement new features and optimize existing functionalities to improve performance and user experience. Develop custom applications and integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and third-party tools. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to Associate ServiceNow Developers and ServiceNow Developers. Support the growth of other Practice members to meet the needs of their role, the business, and future growth opportunities. Share solutions and lessons learned. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and industry best practices. Maintenance & Upgrades: Ensure smooth execution of platform upgrades and patches. Maintain documentation for all customizations and configurations. Support the team in the deployment and validation of all production changes. Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and ensure adherence to coding standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, other implementation specialists, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project coordination and effective, regular communication. Support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow features, enhancements, and best practices to enhance the quality of implementations and maintain expertise in the platform. Continue certification and training process to meet Practice standards and growth areas, and contribute to the continued success of the team.

Requirements

  • 5 + years of experience implementing ServiceNow solutions in App Engine
  • 4-year degree
  • 5 + years of experience working with an Agile implementation framework.
  • 3 + years of experience working and developing with JavaScript - HTML5, Jelly, jQuery, and AngularJS.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • 2+ years of Integration experience (SOAP, REST, and JSON as well as JDBC and file imports).
  • 1+ years of experience in the administration of a ServiceNow instance, including the management of users, groups, and roles, CMS Development, ACLs, business rules, workflows, UI actions, UI policies, dictionary, and catalog items.
  • US Citizenship is required (required by the federal government for this position).
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Orchestration and Discovery experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience (>480 hours each) configuring or building 5 or more ServiceNow applications.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, and best practices
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles
  • Strong scripting skills in JavaScript and GlideScript
  • Strong technical skills, including workflow configuration and business rule development.
  • Experience in customizing UI and creating complex workflows.
  • An understanding of integration techniques with external systems
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
